Replication Project
Statistical and Data Analysis Project
For my replication project, I aimed to replicate the study "Democratic Values? A Racial Group-Based Analysis of Core Political Values, Partisanship, and Ideology" by David J. Ciuk using the same dataset used in the original study. The study explored the relationship between race, political values, partisanship, and ideology in the United States.

To replicate this study, I first reviewed the original study and its methods in detail and familiarized myself with the dataset used in the original study. Then, I used R to clean, preprocess, and analyze the data, ensuring that the data was accurate and complete.

Next, I conducted statistical analyses to replicate the findings of the original study. This included running regression analyses and chi-squared tests to investigate the relationships between race, political values, partisanship, and ideology, and to examine whether these relationships were consistent with the findings of the original study.

Finally, I used R to create data visualizations to help communicate the findings. For example, I created scatterplots and heatmaps to display the relationships between demographic variables and political attitudes, and used bar charts to compare the distribution of political values and partisanship across different racial groups.

My replication project demonstrates my proficiency in research methods, survey design, data collection, data cleaning, and statistical analysis using R. It also highlights my ability to draw meaningful conclusions from research findings and to communicate those findings effectively through written reports and data visualizations. My use of inferential statistics and advanced data visualization techniques demonstrates my skills in statistical analysis and data visualization.
